COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Wish you understood the basics of Greek in order to study the Bible more fully, but thought a course in Greek from a Seminary would be too hard? Then this course is for you!

Reading the New Testament in its original language is one of the most effective ways to gain greater understanding of Scripture. This course provides just what you need to get started… not too much, not too little. It explains precisely how the Greek Language works and introduces the Greek alphabet, pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar.

By focusing on the content that most impact interpretation, this course equips students to have a working knowledge of biblical Greek for in-depth study of the New Testament.

Born and raised in Hawaii, Dr. Black eventually received his Doctor of Theology degree from the University of Basel in Switzerland. Since 1998, he has been teaching New Testament and Greek at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC, and has written numerous scholarly articles and books. Based out of southern Virginia from a 123-acre working farm, Black’s had the privilege of lecturing all over the world serving as a missionary to Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East.
