CTSP501‒ The Perpetual Voice of God: Description

Scripture explicitly and repeatedly challenges us to lean on the Voice of Truth and walk by the Spirit, but what does that mean or not mean? While much of the evangelic community teaches that the charismatic gifts ceased with the closing of the biblical canon and the death of the original apostles, much of the full-gospel community embraces the gifts with scant knowledge of biblical or historical evidence for doing so.
And with so much misrepresentation and abuse of the gifts in question, many believers are turned off or freaked out by the supposed operation of these gifts.
This course serves as a deep dive into the Continuationism vs Cessationism controversy by providing a briefcase full of information relevant to the question of the validity of prophecy and charisma gifts today. Developed to fill a gaping hole in Christian education, it challenges students to revisit relevant Bible passages applying exegetical, hermeneutical and induction principles.
Along with that‒ documented miracles, spiritual manifestations and prophetic accounts through the centuries will be presented to students.

Raymond & Lynmarie Franklyn
Survivor of a 15-month oppression, Raymond’s expertise in depression and suicidal ideation is extensive, and his spiritual optimism contagious. After his instantaneous deliverance, the couple began ministry training, eventually earning MDiv’s and DMin’s from Shalom Bible College and Seminary. Raymond was commissioned by the US Air Force Auxiliary and served as a Chaplain in the Civil Air Patrol; while Lynmarie focused on developing resources related to discerning the Voice of God. They’ve served as lead pastors and ministers in several churches including inner-city churches and black churches; and the couple also trained and established several prophetic ministry teams.
